Most times, these dimples are also called dimples of Venus and they are believed to increase a person’s fertility and luck.
Apart from the back dimples, there is also another dimple called sacral dimples. Unlike the back dimples, the sacral dimple occurs as just a single dimple. It is also harmless but can also be caused by conditions such as :
1. Spina bifida Occulta: This is a condition where the spine does not fully enclose the spinal cord.
2. Tethered cord syndrome: This is a disorder that occurs when tissue attached to the spinal cord limits ability to move. This condition can make a child to be unable to control bowel movements.
