With the fact that Chelsea have been looking to add some more defenders to the squad this summer to play alongside Kalidou Koulibaly – Chelsea have been linked with so many players over the past few weeks.

They have been working on a deal for Kimpembe for some time now and have reportedly been in talks to complete a deal worth £50 million – but the Blues are struggling to get a possible deal over the line.

The France international has two years remaining on his contract at the Parc des Princes – and they are more than open to letting him depart the club if they receive the right offer – but as we said – Chelsea cannot get the deal over the line.

And that has allowed Italian giants Juventus to show an interest in Kimpembe and are confident that they will be able to beat off Chelsea to the services of the Frenchman – But Hutton believes that Chelsea will win the race for the player.

Hutton told Football Insider: “I think he’s worked under the manager, so they know each other really well.

“It’s very easy for a player coming from another country when you’ve got someone like that there to help you settle in. It makes the transition a lot easier and probably the draw of London as well is a big thing for players to be in the capital.

“He’ll know players within the squad as well.

“You never know, Juventus are a massive team in their own right. It’d also be a great move. I think it would come down to, personally, where is he going to play and where is he going to play the most.

“If Tuchel gives him that assurance then I think that will be his destination.”
