The House members led by their Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, served an impeachment notice on Fubara before they fled for safety as tear gas was fired outside the Complex.
Amid all that, the state governor has insisted he hasn’t done anything to warrant impeachment and rumors of him brewing with Nyesom Wike have been brewing for sometime now.
In reaction to that, a lawyer, activist and Pan-Africanist, Chetam Nwala Thierry, while on the Arise News morning show, said, “Even if I had an agreement with you prior to Fubara becoming elected and all that, and at some point, you are not allowing the person breathe, at a point I would revolt as it’s a natural thing for survival”.
“Let’s look at this situation that led to this entire issue, Nyesom Wike demanded 25% of Rivers State Allocation, and from the rumours we heard, Sim offered to give 10% and not just that, we had a situation where he appointed almost all the commissioners, Chief Security Officer and that’s what is happening in our state…CONTINUE READING>>
