The 36-year-old said that where he lives you can’t provide evidence from video, chats, texts, email or photos without the other party’s permission.
But he told other Redditers that he got lucky because if the cheating happens in the shared living place, people are allowed to record visual evidence which would be admissible in court, which is what he did.
He said the couple have a six-year-old daughter and that’s when life changed for him, as his wife, 36, started to make life miserable for him and for his child.
His fellow social-media users were right behind him, with most congratulating him and telling him to enjoy his new-found freedom. The man said: “After birth, wife did a full 180 and made life miserable for me.
It was to a point I had to leave my job to be a stay-at-home-dad two years ago. I had suspicions about cheating but could not leave the marriage due to our daughter being there.
“Now that I got visual evidence and two neighbours accepted being witnesses, I can divorce her without any problems. In my country, (the) spouse who has a higher fault percentage is f***** up. I consulted with my lawyer today and it seems that I’ll be able to get alimony plus over 80% of custody (likely 100%) and child support.”
He added that because his wife left the house, that had made his hand even stronger and that he now could not be happier after six years of misery.
The doting dad had been the primary carer and had handled everything about his child, but: “Now, I get to leave the marriage without any problem and have my daughter, I feel like the happiest person on the earth.
Tonight I am taking my six-year-old daughter to our favourite dessert place for a celebration (of course it’s just for me, my daughter will just be happy about going to that place). I just wanted to share my happiness with everyone here.”

And his fellow posters shared his joy, with one saying: “Well done, you and your child. Change the locks now that she has left the house. If you haven’t got door cameras, consider getting some,” while another said: “Congratulations!! Make sure you fully maximise your rights to have as much financial support as you can.
Also, talk to your lawyer to see if that man over at your house represents a danger to you and your kid. If that man is married, even better as well because you can now screw his life up too
