Mwadkon said rather than security agencies to double their efforts and go after the killers, they instead arrest those who are aggrieved as a result of the killings.

The former Senator stated this on Wednesday in Jos during a media chat with Journalists.

According to him: “Why these attacks have continued and some people have had the guts to kill innocent citizens is because nobody has been arrested and prosecuted over previous attacks.

“These attackers are human beings and not ghosts and they’re being hosted by the same people they are killing. “I have come to tell the whole world that there is a need for purging of some security agents.

“We also want to hear that some people have been arrested and taken to court over these killings. One of the reasons why these attacks are continuing is that nobody has been severely dealt with to serve as a deterrent to others.”

He wondered why the attacks should resume after the military took a lot of measures after the previous attacks in Mangu, including the visit of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, where he set up a command and control center.

“My pain is that before these attacks, intel was circulated to virtually all the security agencies that had access to information that this attack was going to happen.

People were to be killed. But I’m sure that no proactive action was taken and that is why the attack was able to take place, leading to the loss of several lives”, he said…CONTINUE READING>>
