Erik ten Hag’s managerial reign at Manchester United has not kicked off in a positive note with the dutch coach losing his first two league game as the Red Devils coach....CONTINUE READING THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

The last game was an embarrassing encounter which saw Brentford inflicting the Red Devils a 4-0 defeat on Saturday.

Manchester appointed their 8th manager Erik ten Hag since the departure of their longest-serving manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and things continue to deteriorate.

Erik was appointed with the hope of getting a better version of the team from the former Ajax boss’s professionalism but little experience with him has sent a wrong signal to the supporters.

Understandably, the team is under rehabilitation, but not to the extent of getting such poor results from two games in a row. Erik is beginning to prove his critics right about what they foresaw about him.

From the goalkeeping post to the forwards, they have lost the spark, confidence, and winning that was once around the team.

If Manchester is serious about this transformation they are yearning for, there are six things to do to keep the team in a winning way.

1. Sell Cristiano Ronaldo.

If rebuilding the team is the only option and not winning a trophy, for now, then Cristiano Ronaldo should be parted ways with. There is no point in building a long-term plan on an unsettled player’s shoulder who has already submitted his exit proposal.

2. Mc Tominay, Fred, and Eriksen cannot man Manchester United’s midfield.

Eriksen, Mc Tominay, and, Fred can not successfully oversee the affairs of the midfield against the big teams as they are already looking weak behind the underdogs. Manchester United dropped to the bottom of the league’s table just after two games with a 5 goals deficit, a twin record of August 1992.

3. Harry Maguire should sit on the bench for Raphaél Varane.

Raphaél Varane should be given a chance to prove himself as the whole world has already seen what Harry Maguire is capable of doing. This player has done more harm than good for the team and it’s high time he sits and watches from the bench what hunger-for-win players do on the pitch.

The former Leicester City defender made the list of the most abused players on social media with a score of 8’950 counts tailing the table topper Cristiano Ronaldo with 12,520 counts.

4. Erik should change his approach.

Erik ten should change his approach and tactics he has been using if they are obsolete. This is a premier league where there are no underdogs. Any team can cause an upset unexpectedly.

5. Manchester United should get a good supporting keeper alongside David de Gea.

Manchester United should get a world-class goalkeeper who can challenge David de Gea or probably send him to the bench.

Understandably, David is losing confidence and his self-esteem is going low to the extent that he is underperforming and cheaply giving away goals.

6. Get a good goal scorer.

Manchester United would need a world-class goalscorer who can dismantle opponents’ defense in the blink of an eye.
