Osimhen is enjoying his summer holiday back home in his country after enjoying a remarkable season with Napoli in Italy.

Osimhen, 24, helped Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in over three decades, having scored 26 goals in the Italian top flight.

Locally, Osimhen has also helped Super Eagles pick up a ticket to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, after scoring a brace in the 3-2 win over Sierra Leone in Monrovia.

The €150-million-rated striker returns to Nigeria to unwind as he also continues his recovery ahead of the forthcoming 2023/24 season.

The striker was seen chilling with international teammate, Paul Onuachu, and music superstars, Peter Okoye and Crayon.

Osimhen has been a significant topic of discussion in the transfer market with several European team vying for his services.

Liverpool have reportedly joined Chelsea and Man United in the race to sign the former Lille striker this summer.

Reports have it that in January of this year, his friend Crayon, urged the player to join Premier League side Manchester United.

The Nigerian musician stated emphatically that he would love to see Osimhen turn out for the Red Devils this summer as he is a supported of United.

Liverpool are looking to set a meeting with Osimhen and the player’s representatives over a possible move to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp and the club have reportedly lined up a discussion with the striker, who has confirmed he would like a move to the Premier League.

According to Sacha Tavolleri, Liverpool are set to discuss their plan to sign Osimhen, but Napoli wants as much as €150 million (£130m) for the 24-year-old star.

Victor James Osimhen, a striker for Serie A side Napoli and the Nigerian national team, was born in Nigeria on December 29, 1998.

The Nigerian striker is recognized as one of the top strikers in the world and is well known for his elite finishing, strength, and athleticism.

Osimhen, a Nigerian-born player, started his senior career in Germany in 2017 with VfL Wolfsburg.

After spending a season and a half with the team, he moved on loan to Charleroi in Belgium in 2018–19 season before joining Lille in France.

Osimhen moved to Serie A team Napoli in 2020 for a club-record €70 million. In the 2021–22 season, he was named the Best Young Player in Serie A.

In 2015, Osimhen was given the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot award, while Nigeria won the tournament. He participated in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and made his senior international debut in June 2017.

He presently ranks eighth all-time among Nigeria’s national team’s goal scorers.
