In fact, goalkeeper Ederson is the only City player that had more minutes in the top flight than the Spain international within the period. Coincidentally, Rodri has the same value as Declan Rice. This makes the West Ham star the most valuable English midfielder.
Casemiro of Manchester United
Bruno Guimarães, a Brazilian, occupies the fourth position. This Newcastle player has a value of €60m making him the second South American on the list. Only one player cheated more chances for the Magpies than this 25-year-old in 2022/23. He is also United’s king of through balls.
Moisés Caicedo of Brighton and Casemiro of Manchester United are the two other defensive midfielders in this category. They are valued at €55m and €50m respectively. The former is from Ecuador while the latter is a Brazilian. It should be noted that Casemiro is the only player that was sent off two times in the 2022/23 EPL season.
