While Liverpool and Real Madrid advanced to the finals of the Champions League, Villarreal and Manchester City were eliminated from the competition in the semi-final stages.

Karim Benzema and Rodryo head the attack for Real Madrid in this week’s team of the week, with Liverpool striker Luis Diaz completing the attacking trio alongside the two. The three players turned in tremendous performances, as they all scored goals for their respective teams, securing them a spot in the tournament’s finals.

Sadio Mane of Liverpool and Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City dominate both wing positions. The two players were superb, with Mahrez and Mane both scoring key goals for their respective sides.

Coquelin of Villarreal and Fabinho of Liverpool complete the midfield pair, with both players scoring goals in their respective games. When it comes to the defense, the Liverpool combination of Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander Arnold team up with Manchester City wing back Kyle Walker to create the defenders of the week in the Champions League this season.

While all is going on, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been named as the goalkeeper of the week after making some spectacular saves against Manchester City in the semifinals on Wednesday evening. During the Champions League finals, which will take place in Paris later this season, Liverpool will play Real Madrid for the first time.
