After their draw with Germany, Italy took charge against Hungary in their 2nd group game with an Opener from Barella’s affort following Spinazolla’s assist to make it 1-0 for the Euro 2020 Winner just 30 minutes into the game.
From a Matteo Politano’s pullback, Lorenzo Pellegrini doubled Italy’s lead to earn the Mancini’s Boys a 2-0 lead in the first half. Even though Hungary tried to reduced the deficit following their brave response in the second half, Politano almost added one more but was denied by the crossbar.
In the end,it was Mancini’s own goal, 61 minute on the Watch that earned Hungary the only goal identified with them to make it 2-1. Although Hungary beat England in their opening game, the Italian looked too terrible to handle for them.
Harry Kane turned up for England few minutes from regulation time from the Penalty Spot after trailing Germany for more than 30 minutes.
Hofmann’s strike early in the 2nd half had put Germany ahead in what looked like end of the road for England but Schlotterbeck’s foul on Harry Kane secured a point for England after he converted the spot kick just 2 minutes to game end to earn England a point from 2 Nations League games.
Harry Kane’s goal is his number 50 for England and he will be the top England Scorer after overtaking Wayne Rooney’s tally of 53.
As it stands, England are rock bottom with a point while Italy are now ahead of time Teams with 4 points. Although Hungary lost, they remain second with 3 points obtained from their victory over England. England will now lock horns with Italy in a repeat of their Euro 2020 clash while Hungary and Germany will also trade tackles for their last group games.
