Equally, A Businessman and Politician from Benue State, Moses Ayom is one of the Frontline Contenders for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Ticket. His Presidential Bid recently gained momentum as Leaders including Tranditional Rulers from the South-East and South-South Geo-political Zones declared their Readiness for work his (Ayom) emergence as the Next President of Nigeria.
Two Major Reasons Why South-East Leaders Ignored Anyim, Ohuabunwa to endorse Moses Ayom for President.
1. North Central is yet to produce a President since 1960
According to the Igbo Leaders, even though they are complaining of being marginalized, Someone from the Middle-belt deserves to rule Nigeria in 2023 because the Zone is yet to produce both a Democratic President since 1960 when the Country became Independent. Speaking further, they stated that the Igbos have produce a President in person of Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe and a Vice-president, Dr. Alex Ekwueme.
2. His Enterpreneurship Background
The 53years-old Ayom who is the CEO of Granite and Marble is one of the foremost Industrialists in Nigeria, The South-East, South-South Leaders said that the Region settled for the Choice of Ayom because of his Enterpreneurship antecedents which is a basic requirement for a prosperous Nation. They expressed optimism that he (Ayom) will create an enabling Environment for Businesses to thrive.
