1. Leaky defense

A leaky defense is one of the problems that Chelsea could likely suffer in the coming season. That could happen because Rudiger, who has been the most influential defensive player in the club’s backline, will be no more, including Christensen and probably Alonso and Ceasar Azpilicueta.

Silva will remain, but his presence might offer just little as he is growing older. The new defenders who might come in would need time to adjust to life in the English league, and those anomalies will leave room for goals to be conceded by the team.

2. Lack of goals

Another problem that could bother Tuchel’s squad next season is the lack of goals. The team does a lot of pressing, but goals hardly come as Tuchel has still not been able to fix his misfiring frontline players, and particularly, Lukaku’s poor form.

These issues are likely to linger until next season, and that is why goals might be a problem for Chelsea when the campaign starts.
