The president arrived in Maiduguri shortly after ISWAP terrorists launched an attack on the city.
However, there are two major things Mr. President did in Borno State today. They include:
1. President Buhari commissioned some projects completed by the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum.
Some of the projects include a secondary school and a flyover, which is the largest in the north-east region.
Buhari also commissioned the Muhammadu Indimi Center for Distance Learning at the University of Maiduguri. The center was built by the Chairman of Oriental Energy, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Indimi.
2. President Buhari also addressed the troops of Operation Hadin-Kai in Maiduguri.
The troops are at the frontline of the war against insurgency in the north-east region.
Buhari urged the soldiers to be steadfast, saying we are at the final stage of the war against insurgency in Nigeria.
He thanked the military for their gallantry in the fight against insecurity in the country. He added that their sacrifices would not be forgotten.
