Real Madrid could reportedly sign Manchester City striker Erling Haaland for around €100m (£86.1m) due to the terms of a purported release clause in his Citizens contract.
Real Madrid have never completely closed the door on a future swoop for the 23-year-old, and according to AS, Los Blancos could sign him for just half of the €200m (£172.2m) release clause in his City contract.
The report states that only Premier League clubs would be required to pay Haaland’s release clause in full, while foreign teams would only need to cough up €100m (£86.1m) to complete a deal.
Mbappe ‘agrees to move’ to Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe has reportedly reached an agreement to join Real Madrid in the summer. The Frenchman is into the final six months of his PSG contract so is able to negotiate with foreign clubs for a free transfer in July.
According to Foot Mercato, Mbappe reached an agreement with Los Blancos a few days ago after years of failed pursuits.
Salah backed for ‘perfect’ Liverpool exit
Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler has backed Mo Salah to make a ‘perfect’ exit to Saudi Arabia sooner rather than later. Speaking with Mirror Football, he said: “I would love nothing more than to see Salah end his career in the famous red shirt.
But I am a realist who understands that there will probably be a time, in the not-too-distant future, when a move to Saudi Arabia would be the perfect fit for all parties.”
Branthwaite eyed by Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti is keen to raid former club Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite, according to The Mail. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was at Goodison Park when Branthwaite joined from Carlisle, handing the centre-back his debut in 2020.
