Bournemouth are finalising the paperwork for a work permit and visa which will allow Dango Ouattara to complete his move from Lorient.
When this is granted, it is expected Ouattara will fly to the UK this week.
The club are confident they can get everything completed in time for him to train at some stage before Saturday’s game with Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal consider Diaby after Mudryk snub
Arsenal are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby after being beaten by Chelsea to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, according to Sky Germany.
Mikel Arteta is keen to add more firepower in attack and the 23-year-old is being considered as an option. Diaby has a contract with Leverkusen until 2025 and they value the player at €100million.

Jack Clarke has joined Yeovil Town on a temporary basis.
The midfielder is due to spend the rest of the season on loan at Huish Park.
Orange County signs Daniel Pedersen to new contract
Orange County SC announced on Monday the club had signed midfielder Daniel Pedersen to a new contract ahead of the 2023 USL Championship season and appointed the Dane as club captain following the departure of outgoing defender Michael Orozco.
The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Pedersen enters his second year with OCSC this spring, coming off a 2022 season in which he tallied two goals and four assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
