And with the January transfer window fast approaching, Chelsea football club are on the lookout for a new striker and will need to move fast in order beat off competitions.
Over the past few months, Chelsea football club have been linked with a transfer move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and if reports are anything to go by, then the Blues are set to step up their interest.
The 24-year-old Nigeria International, who signed up for Serie A side Napoli after departing Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2020 has proven to be a key member of the first-team squad since he made the move.
The young striker was hugely influential for Napoli during the 2022/2023 season where he scored 31 goals and created five assists to help his side win the prestigious Serie A title.
Victor Osimhen has continued his perform excellently well for Napoli since the start of this season as well, scoring six goals and providing two assists in the 11 matches he has played so far.
His excellent performances already caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from The Sun, the Blues are now taking the next steps to sign him next month.
The reports further claimed that Napoli football club are very much aware of Chelsea’s interest in signing Victor Osimhen and have now set an asking price of £120million for him.
It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants Victor Osimhen but he has now learnt that the Blues need to pay a bigger transfer fee of £120million to sign him next year.
That said, after spending £115million to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton last summer, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will be interested in splashing the cash for Victor Osimhen when the January transfer window opens…CONTINUE READING>>
