Nottingham Forest are not done in the transfer market yet!...CONTINUE READING

The Daily Mail claim that Serge Aurier is close to becoming the club’s 19th signing of the summer after undergoing a medical.

The former Tottenham defender is currently a free agent, and is expected to sign a one-year deal at Forest.
United prepare huge Antony bid

Manchester United will not be denied, it seems.

Sky Sports report that they are willing to submit a bid of €94m including add-ons for Antony, a fee which is likely to match Ajax’s valutation.

With the Brazilian extremely keen to make the move to England, United will be confident of completing a deal.

Pepe set for Arsenal exit

Arsenal’s record signing Nicolas Pepe is poised to leave the club on loan.

The Ivorian winger is set to travel to France to undergo a medical at Ligue 1 side Nice after the two clubs agreed a season-long deal on Wednesday, potentially linking up with Aaron Ramsey at Allianz Riviera.

However, such a move does not spell the end of Pepe’s unhappy stay in north London just yet, with Standard Sport understanding that there is no option to buy the player next summer included in the loan.

Chelsea could turn to Maguire

Chelsea may launch an audacious late swoop for Manchester United captain Harry Maguire before next week’s transfer deadline if they are unable to land Wesley Fofana.

Frenchman Fofana has long since been established as Thomas Tuchel’s top defensive target at Stamford Bridge, but so far the Blues have been met with repeated frustration in their attempts to strike a deal.

Chelsea had already seen two bids for the 21-year-old rejected before a third offer understood to be worth up to £70million including add-ons was instantly dismissed on Tuesday as Leicester hold out for a world-record fee for a defender that would equal that which they received from United for Maguire back in 2019.

Besiktas close in on Dele

Dele Alli is on the verge of completing his move to Besiktas.

The Athletic report that the midfielder is flying out to Istanbul tonight ahead of undergoing a medical tomorrow, as he finalises a season-long loan move from Everton.

Besiktas have the option to make it a permanent deal both in January and next summer.

RB Leipzig keen on Chalobah

RB Leipzig have joined the race to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

The Bundesliga outfit are experiencing something of a defensive crisis following the recent injury sustained by Germany’s Lukas Klostermann and are keen to recruit a new centre-half who is adept at playing as part of a three-man backline.

Standard Sport understands that Leipzig want to sign Chalobah on loan, having previously negotiated the successful return of Timo Werner to the Red Bull Arena in a £25million deal last month.

Antony pushes for United move

Antony is doing everything he can to force through a move to Manchester United in the next week.

The Telegraph report that his representatives will be staying in London until the end of the window, with the Brazilian desperate to join United and work with Erik ten Hag again.

United are yet to match Ajax’s valutation though, with the Dutch side holding out for £84m.

Moyes: Maybe we’ve gone above our station

David Moyes has admitted West Ham have potentially been too ambitious in the transfer market, hinting that moves for some big names have not come off.

He said: “Lost count of how many players we’ve bid for. We’ve bid for a lot.

“If I told you who, you would burst out laughing. Maybe I’ve tried and gone above our station.”
Man United rumours: £80m offer amid Gakpo transfer ‘progress’

Manchester United’s win over Liverpool might have raised morale, though few would doubt there is still work to be done.

The club’s recruitment staff have yet again come under fire after a slow summer window even despite the arrival of four players, the headline of whom is one Casemiro, a five-time Champions League winner.

Still, even Ralf Rangnick highlighted the need to bring in two “modern strikers” back in May and there has been little movement on that front since.

With that in mind, it’s expected to be a busy final few days of the window at Old Trafford as ten Hag desperately pushes to add to his squad.
