The 20-year-old Hojlund has emerged as a top target for the Red Devils in the past couple of weeks.
This follows manager Erik ten Hag’s side’s decision to drop out of the race to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.
He has been identified as a first-choice number nine due to his breakout campaign in Europe last time around.
The Denmark international scored 10 goals across 34 games for Atalanta last term.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano said, “When you pay £60 million or £70 million for a player, it is because you have someone who is already prepared to make an impact on your team.
