Madrid terminate Hazard’s contract
Real Madrid have announced in an official statement that they have decided to end Eden Hazard’s contract. The Belgian forward joined the Los Blancos in 2019 from Chelsea but struggled with injury for most part of his career at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Pep: We are working on Gundogan deal
Pep Guardiola admits Manchester City are working hard to keep Ilkay Gundogan next season. The German, who scored twice in the FA Cup final, is out of contract in the summer but City are desperately keen to keep him.
Guardiola said: “He knows what I think. Maybe some of you know it. We are neighbours, we live in the same floor so for many years so he is a close friend of mine. Txiki [director of football] is working. He plays exceptional. Hopefully we can finish in a good way.”
Lewandowski: Real will miss Benzema when he leaves
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski says Real Madrid will miss Karim Benzema whenever the French forward decides to leave the club. The Real striker has been linked with a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia, but Benzema himself cooled talk of a departure on social media this week.
“It will be difficult for the club if he leaves, I don’t know when he will leave, but it doesn’t matter when it is because we are speaking of an iconic player,” Lewandowski told SPORT.
“He is one of the best players in the world, one of the best forwards. At his age, he continues to show that he is the right player for that position. He is one of the most important players for Real Madrid in recent years.”

OFFICIAL: AC Milan confirm Ibrahimovic departure
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave AC Milan when his contract expires this summer, the Serie A club confirmed. The Rossoneri are planning a goodbye ceremony for the striker.
OFFFICIAL: Asensio to leave Real Madrid
Real Madrid have confirmed that Marco Asensio is set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of next month. Sky Germany reported earlier this week that the Spanish international is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a long-term contract.
After seven seasons at the Santiago Bernanbeu, a Real statement read: “Madridistas will never forget his career and his exemplary behaviour during all this time.
“Real Madrid is and will always be his home, and he wishes him and his whole family good luck in this new stage.”
