At the start of the summer, Manuel Ugarte was the priority target until Paris Saint-Germain offered considerably more money and hijacked the deal. Attention then turned to Caicedo but the Seagulls demanding £100million has complicated things and also seen Chelsea draw up a list of alternatives.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has made contact with the camp of Leeds star Adams to be informed on the conditions of a potential deal. The USMNT star has a £20million clause in his contract which Chelsea can activate following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship.

Burnley offers £12m for Ramsey from Aston Villa

Burnley has increased their offer to £12million for Aston Villa midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Premier League newcomers are in negotiations with Unai Emery’s side over a move for the youngster, who spent last season on loan at Norwich City and Middlesbrough.

Ramsey is the brother of Villa star Jacob but could depart his boyhood club this summer as Burnley work on bringing in new recruit this summer.

Vincent Kompany’s side have also asked about taking Manchester United left-back Alvaro Fernandez, 20, on loan for the coming season.

It remains to be seen as to whether they can get a deal done as they look to replace Ian Maatsen this summer.

The former Chelsea loanee admitted he wishes to fight for a place at Stamford Bridge this season after impressing on their tour of the United States.

However, with Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella remaining at the club his game time could be limited, although Mauricio Pochettino has deployed him further forward in pre-season.

Burnley also remains in talks with Ajax over a £12.9million deal for Denmark international winger Mohamed Daramy, 21.

Inter revive their bid to sign Balogun but are yet to agree £45m valuation

Inter Milan has revived their bid to sign Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

This comes after they missed out on West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca and Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea.

Inter had been looking to offer around £26million for Balogun who is valued at around £45million by Arsenal.

The forward had an impressive break-out season with Stade de Reims in Ligue 1 last season and is edging closer to an exit at the Emirates.

However, Arsenal’s valuation could prove to be a sticking point this summer as Inter are yet to agree on a fee for the forward.

Man City identify Brighton winger Mitoma as a potential replacement for Mahrez

Manchester City has earmarked Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli in a £30million deal earlier this month.

The treble winners already have Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise and Rennes winger Jeremy Doku on their shortlist.

And Japanese international has also caught the attention of City boss Pep Guardiola, according to the Daily Star.

The 26-year-old impressed in the Premier League last season, scoring seven times in 24 appearances.

Mitoma signed for Brighton in August 2021 before spending a season in Belgium on loan at Union St Gilloise….READFULL
