According to top Spanish media outlet Marca, Sevilla has rejected Chelsea’s first bid for Jules Kounde amid interests from Barcelona and PSG
Chelsea has been one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as Thomas Tuchel wants to strengthen his defense ahead of next season.
The blues have already signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly from Manchester City and Napoli respectively and are still in the race to sign Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.
Sevilla on the other hand desperately wants to resolve Jules Kounde’s deal this week in order to move forward for their targets in the transfer market.
According to Marca, Chelsea ‘s first offer for Jules Koundé (€50m + €5m) was rejected by the directors of the Sevilla, although it was only the first step in an deal that should not take long to resolve, since Chelsea has already set to work for the signing of the French defender.
Chelsea are expected to make an improved offer in the coming days but will have to fight Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and other top clubs interested in Jules Kounde’s signing.
