One of the biggest surprise moves of the January window so far should be confirmed today as Wout Weghorst joins Manchester United.
It was widely reported yesterday that a deal to take the Dutch international striker to Old Trafford on loan until the end of the season had now been agreed.
Weghorst will join from Burnley, with around £4m heading to Besiktas in order to compensate them for breaking his existing season-long loan deal in Istanbul.
Per Fabrizio Romano, the 30-year-old has now signed a contract and undergone his medical. United are hoping to get him registered in time to be in the squad against City in tomorrow’s Manchester derby.
Chelsea still competing for Marcus Thuram
Chelsea is still in the hunt to sign Marcus Thuram despite the West London club signing Joao Felix, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Blues secured the services of the Portuguese forward, but are still competing to get Thuram to Stamford Bridge.
The French forward has been exceptional playing for Borussia Monchengladbach, and the club would be hopeful that he could replicate the same form in the Premier League.
Rodrigo De Paul reportedly keen on joining Juventus
According to a report from Calciomercato, Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo De Paul is keen on joining Juventus next season.
It’s unlikely that the midfielder will join the Bianconeri this window, with a move in the summer looking more likely.
The 28-year-old’s stint in Spain hasn’t gone to plan and a return to Serie A might help him get back to form at club level.

Julen Lopetegui has already convinced the player and the two clubs are now finalizing the details. Wolves remain confident to get Sarabia done by the weekend.
