Chelsea star Marc Cucurella has snubbed the chance to leave the club after just one season following a difficult first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard signed in a £62m deal from Brighton but struggled to replicate his form in west London and fell out of favour towards the end of the season, losing his place to Ben Chilwell.

The Evening Standard claim the Blues offered Cucurella to Saudi Arabian clubs with the hope of recouping some of the money spent, but the 24-year-old is keen for a second chance under Mauricio Pochettino.

The report also claims he ‘discouraged’ interest from Atletico Madrid, while Newcastle did not follow up in their enquiry for the ex-Brighton man.

Man Utd could sell four key players

Manchester United are set to let go of four key members of the team this summer, according to the Independent. Erik ten Hag is reportedly determined to sell players Jadon Sancho, Fred, Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire to make room for new signing in the upcoming window.

United are ready to bring in Andre Onana from Inter Milan and will use some of the money raised from Henderson’s sale to fund the mlove for the Cameroonian. The Manchester Evening News report United are willing to accept offers close to £30m for the 26-year-old to bring an end to his long association with the club.

Llorente set to rejoin Roma on loan from Leeds

Leeds United have agreed a season-long loan deal for defender Diego Llorente with Roma. The 29 year old spent the second half of last season on loan in Rome and Jose Mourinho was keen to have the Spanish defender return again.

Llorente joined Leeds in the summer of 2020 and has made 59 appearances since. He has three seasons left on his current deal after signing a new contract last year.

Boro sign Dieng

Middlesbrough have announced the signing of goalkeeper Seny Dieng from Championship rivals QPR. Boro have paid an undisclosed fee for the 28-year-old Senegal international, who has arrived at the Riverside on a four-year deal.
