Despite projecting an image of health and strength, Sarah, the youngest of four siblings, concealed her internal struggles from those closest to her. The tragic incident occurred at an off-campus lodge near the Family and Friends Hotel, adjacent to the university campus.

According to Sarah’s cousin and fellow student, Miss Patience Maikefi, the deceased had reached out after her semester exams, expressing her exhaustion with life. The call ended abruptly, and subsequent attempts to contact Sarah were unsuccessful. The cousin later received an urgent call to rush to a nearby clinic.

The heartbreaking revelation came to light that Sarah took this drastic step after experiencing a breakup with her boyfriend. Danjuma, a fellow student, reminisced about the deceased, describing her as gentle, calm, and cool since the beginning of their academic journey earlier in the year.
