All the fixtures look exciting and fascinating but judging based on the qualities of a the team’s involved and what was seen during the group stage, here are the toughest matches in the World cup round of 16.

1. Netherlands vs USA

This game is tough as both teams are still unbeaten in this World cup and one will have to win to eliminate the other. Netherlands are the slight favourites to win the game but USA also have what it takes to create an upset.

2. Argentina vs Australia

Both Argentina and Australia got into the round of 16 on the back of gathering 6 points from their respective groups. Lionel Messi led Argentina look like the favourites to win this game but Australia have shown so far at this World cup that they are no pushovers as they can sneak in a 1-0 win and eliminate Argentina out of the ongoing World cup.

The North African nation have been unbeaten so far at this World cup and they have what it takes to beat a Spain team that have been underwhelming so far.
