The games continue into matchday 9 which is set to take place on Monday.
The games are expected to be exciting and fascinating and with that in mind, we will take a look at the toughest fixtures to watch out for in Matchday 9 in the 2022 FIFA World cup.
Here they are;
1. South Korea vs Ghana
Ghana have a chance to follow in the footsteps of Senegal and Morocco by becoming the next African team to record a win at the ongoing World cup against Heung Min Son’s South Korean team. It promises to be a fascinating game as both teams could win the game.
2. Brazil vs Switzerland
Yet again, these two teams know each other very well from the previous World cup and Brazil are the undoubted favourites to win heading into this game.
However, they will have to win the game without their talisman, Neymar. Switzerland can cause an upset as tht have the quality too with Player like Xhaka, Shaqiri and Embolo in the team.
3. Portugal vs Uruguay
In the game of the day, Portugal take on Uruguay in a repeat of their round of 16 clash during the last World cup. Both teams have the quality to win.
Portugal with Ronaldo leading the line will be hoping to record their second win of the group stage to confirm qualification while a Suarez and Darwin Nunez led Uruguay team will be pushing to record their first win of the ongoing World cup.
