Spurs entered the early kickoff game of the day on Saturday off the back of their disappointing 2-1 loss to Aston Villa in their previous Premier League outing, and the Londoners were looking for a much-needed victory to revive their European ambition.
The Ryan Mason-led team started the game on a promising note as they registered the first goal of the game in the 8th minute when Harry Kane’s left-footed effort beats Brentford’s goalkeeper from outside the box.
However, the visitors grew stronger in the second half of the fascinating encounter as Bryan Mbeumo scored a brace to give his team a strong lead before Yoane Wissa sealed the victory for the Thomas Frank-led team in the 88th minute with a left-footed effort.
