After an outstanding welcome to professional football, Morrison’s career in the sport derailed due to his own misconduct. He was at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

4. Adnan Januzaj

It was Adnan Januzaj’s natural ability, first touch, powerful shot and skill which made him stand out at Manchester United, and after a successful pre-season under Moyes he was earning comparisons to the game’s elite.

Following the arrival of Louis van Gaal to replace Moyes he suffered a rude awakening. Over the course of the 2014-15 season he started more games for Manchester United’s Under-23s side in Premier League 2 than he did for the first team, and he struggled to deal with the criticism that began to be aimed in his direction.

3. Wilfred Zaha

Zaha looked like a Manchester United player, He was a classic winger, who relished running at defenders and could skip past them with ease.

Zaha never got the chance to play for Sir Alex Ferguson, and when he arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2013, he found David Moyes in charge, who treated him as an unwanted nuisance.

2. Bebe

Bebe spent four years at Manchester United, making a total of just seven appearances for the Red Devils scoring two goals. Even Sir Alex Ferguson would have to admit there are better ways to spend £7.4 million.

1. Anderson
