Although they are currently having a very bad time due to an unexpected change in the club’s owner. They will bounce back in due time with quality signings and good management, but there are players they sold in the past that turned out to be world-class players.

The Belgium international was once a Chelsea player during Jose Mourinho’s first season in Chelsea. As we all know, Mourinho likes technical and physical players because of his style and tactical approach to games.
The Portuguese manager saw De Bruyne as being surplus to requirements so he sold him to Wolfsburg where he developed, won the Bundesliga Player of the Season, and moved to Manchester City.

Some Chelsea fans don’t even know that Robben once played at Stamford Bridge. The Netherlands international was a rising star, but he regularly pick up injuries during his days at Chelsea. He was sold to Real Madrid before he moved to Bayern Munich where he made an unforgettable name.
