He emphasized the significance of the six-week suspension on the NSIPA programme, clarifying that this measure doesn’t signify a shift in priority but aims to provide an opportunity for reform. He noted that the suspension is intended to halt all payments and activities within these programs, allowing the ministerial panel to be fully engaged in the reform process.

He highlighted that the primary objective by the President, is to restructure these programs to exclusively benefit the disadvantaged Nigerians.

He said in an interview with TVC, ”It is important to note that those suspensions are taken place for approximately six weeks. So now that we have that six weeks suspension in place. It is not in anyway to convey any type of displacement of priority on those programs. They are still very much at the centre and at the heart of what Mr President want to do for the disadvantaged population of our country.

What he is saying is lets have a six week’s suspension so that all payments, and all activities within those programmes are immediately stopped and to ensure that the ministerial panel that he had now set up can fully engage in the process of reforming those programs to ensure that only those disadvantaged population will benefit from this programme.
