A police report seen by Citizen Digital indicated that a helicopter belonging to the Kenya Defence Forces ferried the bodies on Saturday morning and flew them to Isiolo town.

“Today 30/03/2024 at around 0940hrs Kenya Air Force helicopter airlifted the bodies from Atmis Dhobley Somalia to Isiolo. The same has been confirmed to have landed in Isiolo through cellphone conversation,” read the report.

The six people who had crossed the Kenya-Somalia border to open their shops on the Somalian side were
ambushed and killed in cold blood by the terror group at around 7 am.

Garissa County Police Commander John Samburumo confirmed the incident saying the gunmen whose faces were covered and were driving in a probox shot at them randomly killing four on the spot while two died while receiving treatment in hospital.

The suspects then fled immediately.
