Sadly, the pair fell out in the Dutchman’s first year at the club, with Erik reportedly saying at the time that Ronaldo had to leave after the Portuguese publicly said he doesn’t respect him.
Ten Hag’s demands were met, but so far it’s looking like his decision to get rid of Ronaldo is coming back to haunt him.
The total number of forwards in Man United’s first team is 6, but only Marcus Rashford has scored a Premier League goal this season while the rest have zero goals and assists to their names.
On the other hand, Ronaldo is currently scoring goals for fun in Saudi Arabia and has been tipped by many to finish this year as the top goalscorer.
