Although we will be facing our rivals, it is still pre-season, and Carlo Ancelotti can allow himself to be a bit experimental with the starting lineup. Here are some of his options.

Option 1

Real Madrid XI: Courtois – Lucas Vazquez, Militao, Rudiger, Alaba – Tchouameni, Valverde, Kroos – Rodrygo, Hazard, Vinicius Jr.

According to Mario Cortegana, Dani Carvajal missed the training session on Friday due to ankle problems, so the coach might be forced to play Lucas Vazquez ahead of him.

Other than that, Ancelotti could go with Militao, Rudiger and Alaba in midfield, who are expected to be starters next term.

In midfield, Tchouameni and Valverde could be given their chances to see if they are fit to replace their veteran teammates.

As for the attack, Vini and Rodrygo on the wings is nothing new. However, Eden Hazard is expected to be tested in the false nine position, and the Clasico could be a good place to start.

Option 2

Real Madrid XI: Lunin – Odriozola, Militao, Alaba, Mendy – Casemiro, Camavinga, Kroos – Asensio, Mariano, Vinicius Jr.

Mendy and Odriozola are options to start on the flanks in defence, while Alaba could return to the centre-back position. Besides, Lunin could be given the opportunity to prove himself.

In midfield, Casemiro and Camavinga are also options to play from the first minute.

Mariano is our only proper striker in the current squad (Mayoral is still in Spain), so he could start. On the right, Marco Asensio could play ahead of Rodrygo.
