Signs of Vitamin Deficiency

1. Poor night vision – this is one of the symptoms that indicate a person’s body is running low on vitamins. Lack of vitamin A is linked to a condition known as night blindness which means you won’t be able to see effectively at night or in low light.

This is due to the fact that vitamin A is necessary for the production of rhodopsin, a pigment found in the retinas of the eyes that helps a person see in low light conditions or at night.

2. Bleeding gums – when you consume foods that are lacking vital nutrients for a long period of time, it can end up causing you to lack vitamins thus culminating in bleeding gums whenever you are brushing.

When there is shortage of vitamin C, you will start noticing bleeding gums. Don’t take it for granted, ensure you consume foods that are rich in vitamins.
