Emmanuel Dennis is a wanted man after an impressive Premier League debut for Watford FC. The former Club Brugge striker is a target for a number of Premier League clubs and Spanish LaLiga clubs.

Now, he has a new suitor in Udinese, who are looking to replace star man Gerard Deulofeu who could be leaving the club for another adventure in Spain with Real Sociedad or be on his way to Napoli.

The Serie A club are looking to build on their 12th place finish from last season, greatly helped by Deulofeu and believe that Dennis, whose goals gave Watford hope of remaining in the Premier League, is the right man to help their aspirations.

Dennis has already been linked to a number of Premier League clubs with many pundits asking said clubs to go after him and keep him in the league. It has also been reported that West Ham United, one of the clubs linked to his signature in the summer, have begun talks with him.

Udinese is looking to upset those discussions and links with their offer which, according to reports from Italy, has pushed them ahead of the others. This is because the Pozzo family, owners of Watford, are also the owners of Udinese.

Having seen what Dennis can do, they will be looking to keep their star man to help their clubs’ progress.

Should he make the move to the Italian club, he will be the fourth Nigerian player to have switched between both clubs after Odion Ighalo, William Troost-Ekong and Isaac Success. Deulofeu, who he is to replace at the Italian club, also switched from Watford to Udinese in 2020 as one of the results of the Pozzo family’s influence on their transfer dealings.

Meanwhile, Henry Onyekuru is edging closer to a return to Galatasaray after a nightmare season in Greece with Olympiacos Piraeus.
