The three-time African Champions stumbled in their tournament opener, settling for a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea this past Sunday.
Drawing parallels to their journey in 2013, where an initial stumble did not deter them from ultimately clinching the title, Omeruo sees a potential repeat of history as the Super Eagles strive for success in the current AFCON campaign.
“Like 2013 we didn’t start well, but we went all the way to win the tournament. So we have to keep our head up.
