Cyriel Dessers has been enjoying blistering and best form of his life since making his debut for the Eredivisie giant having been firing from all cylinders and scoring goals for fun despite not having a guaranteed starting role in the team.

He has always been at their rescue where and when needed most significantly his exploits in the UEFA Europa Conference League where he was at another level enroute to guiding his team to the inaugural final in the maiden season of the competition.

So far, Cyriel Dessers has the highest goals scored in the competition after he made history by becoming the first ever player to reach a double figure of goals (10) with just one ahead of England international and Nigerian descent, Tammy Abraham who has scored a total of 9 for AS Roma under the tutelage of Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho.

With the final of the competition set to be played later tonight between Feyenoord Rotterdam and AS Roma at Tirana in Albania, Cyriel Dessers could become the first Nigerian player ever to win European Golden Boot award should he be able to maintain the one goal margin advantage he has ahead of the former Chelsea star and Cobham academy product.

However, he could also emerged as the joint-top leading goalscorer in the competition if he is unable to found the back of the net with Tammy Abraham also not scoring more than one goal.
