Dr. Aisha Muhammad-Oyebode, CEO of the MMF, urged the government to revisit and adopt the policies and programs implemented during Gen. Muhammed’s administration as a blueprint for addressing the current socio-economic challenges gripping the nation.

Gen. Murtala Muhammed’s legacy is remembered for the remarkable progress achieved during the first 200 days of his administration in 1975/76.

Unfortunately, this period of socio-economic improvement was cut short by the unsuccessful coup of February 13, 1976, led by the late Buka Suka Dimka.
