Though Leeds United asking price is quite high and Barcelona might not be able agree on a high fee given their financial situation. Sporting could lose some of their players this summer after their incredible performance in the 2021/22 season. Majority of Sporting players now play for premier league teams. Top players like Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo are currently playing for Manchester United. However, it is the 37-year Portuguese forward that is the most successful former Player of Sporting.
Ronaldo who have won many individual honors and titles finished 2021/22 season as Manchester United top scorer across all competitions. However, Ronaldo and Fernandes finished the 2021/22 season without winning a Silverware and will be competing in the Europa league next season.
However, Rafael Leao is one of the most wanted forward in the summer. Many top players want to acquire his services from AC Milan this season but it might cost them a fortune. Leao scored 14 goals and 12 assists in 42 appearances for AC Milan in the 2021/22 season.
However, the Portuguese winger also won the Serie-A title this season. Other Former Sporting players who won a title this season includes Nuno Mendes and Rui Patricio. Mendes won the Ligue-1 title with Paris Saint-Germain while Rui Patricio won the first UEFA Europa conference league.
