1. You deserve a real relationship if that’s what you want
It doesn’t matter who he is. He could be your long-time crush from school or a wealthy man. If you want something he can’t give, you’re just not compatible. Sticking around in his shadow will only leave you feeling unsatisfied.
2. He won’t treat you like a boyfriend would
For instance, in a real relationship, you’d have dates to events like family weddings or movie nights. But without that title, he owes you nothing. And you might feel guilty asking for his time because you’ll be seen as second best.
3. Being a side chick can make you feel insecure
If he’s seeing other women, you’ll wonder what they have that you don’t. You might even feel jealous of their achievements. Just remember, these other women aren’t your enemies unless they try to make you feel bad. And if he’s lying to them about breaking up soon, he’s probably lying to you too.
4. You can’t flaunt your relationship on social media.
You might get away with posting a few group photos, but being a side chick means no lovey-dovey selfies. If he’s already in a relationship, posting those pics would raise suspicions.
5. Being a side chick isn’t a good idea
Sure, it might start innocently, but most of the time, he’s using you to cheat on his partner. And that’s not fair to anyone involved. If you get caught, you’ll face backlash, but the real blame lies with him. Dating a taken man isn’t worth the stress when there are plenty of single people out there.
6. He doesn’t love you as much as he claims
