When oxygenated blood couldn’t get to the brain or part of the brain, a stroke occurs.

There are many types of stroke. We also have what is called warning stroke which normally occur some hours or days before a stroke.

According to WebMD, the following signs may be indication of an impending stroke.

1. Numbness or weakness in your face especially on one side.

When you begin to notice numbness on the face or notice a feeling of weakness on the face, please take this kind of feeling very seriously as it could mean that a stroke is around.

2. Confusion, difficulty understanding other people.

When you notice a feeling of confusion and have trouble understanding other people, it’s important you report to your doctor.

The brain works with oxygenated blood but when there is shortage in this flow, you may begin to experience confusion.

3. Difficulty speaking.

This shortage of blood flow to the brain may also affect the way you speak.

Bear in mind that blood and the energy that flows with it controls most human activities.

4. Trouble seeing with one or both eyes.

The oxygenated blood that flows through the capillaries provide energy for vision.

This blockage that normally cause a stroke may show sign in your eyes by making it difficult for you to see properly.

5. Problem walking or staying balanced.

Blood clotting which normally cause a stroke may affect your peripheral nerves making it difficult for you to stand properly.

6. Dizziness.

In some people when they are about to have stroke, they feel very dizzy. Blood flow controls normal feeling in humans.

Shortage of oxygenated blood in the brain may result in dizziness or extreme sleepiness.

7. Severe headache that comes for no reason.

According to WebMD, severe headache that comes for no reason may indicate that a stroke is around.

There are other causes of severe headache but if you have severe headache coupled with some of the symptoms mentioned above , you may need to consult you healthcare provider immediately.
