What Are The Signs Of Diabetes In Women?

1. Recurring Yeast Infection of the vagina, oral thrush; this happens due to an overgrowth of candida fungus. Research has shown that women who are suffering from diabetes are at a higher risk of suffering from both yeast infection of the vagina and the mouth. This is because the bacteria thrives when there is abundance of glucose.

2. Constant UTIs; if you always deal with urinary tract infections, then that could be a sign that your blood sugar level is higher than it should. Reason being that urinary tract infections also thrive when there is abundance of glucose in the blood, so there is need for you to always run tests on yourself to know what your blood sugar readings are like.

3. Frequent Urination; this is another sign of diabetes in women. Though this sign appears to be almost same for the male gender. 4. Skin conditions such as acanthosis nigricans or darkening of various parts of the skin. This can happen in the armpit, lower legs and every other part of the skin that has a fold. Most people suffering from acanthosis nigricans often have blood sugar level that is higher than normal and the darkening of these body parts serves as a reaction from the body.
