Formication also known as Tactile Hallucination is a type of Paresthesia which causes feeling of crawling on the body without any physical cause. It is associated with burning, tingling or numbness.
This medical condition might be a symptom of other underlying ailments such as;
– Fibromyalgia
– Parkinson’s disease

SYMPTOMS
The main symptoms of this ailment is that;

TREATMENT
The treatment of Formication depends on the underlying cause. Some may require long term treatment, while others such as antihistamines, etc may help to reduce the crawling sensation.
COMPLICATIONS
Untreated conditions that cause Formication may give rise to complications such as;
– Loss of sensation
– Stroke
– Kidney disease
– Heart disease
– Ulcer
– Abscess, etc.
