The AFCON 2013 winner who spent more than 11 years at Chelsea said Osimhen could fill the shoes left by legendary forward, Didier Drogba.

Mikel during his time at Chelsea won several trophies including the UEFA Champions and Europa League.

The 36-year-old believes Osimhen is the perfect player to fill that role as he possesses all the qualities of the Ivorian during his playing days.

Speaking on the Obi One podcast, Mikel revealed his excitement to Osimhen, even mentioning he’d broker the deal as an agent if he’s given the chance.

“I know you’re going to come to Chelsea. I’m telling you, I’m going to be the agent to broker that deal! You are 100 per cent going to Chelsea next season,” the former Chelsea defensive midfielder told Osimhen.

The AFCON winner mentioned how Chelsea are in dire need of last season’s Capocannoniere Award winner.

“I’m going to make sure that deal happens because we are crying out for someone like you. Since the big man left the club, you know Didier Drogba, my teammate, we haven’t had anybody with that figure, that stature, that personality.”

Recall that Al-Hilal made a bid for Osimhen in the summer. The 24-year-old admitted he was considering the offer but he opted to remain at Napoli.

“We’re crying out for someone who will get us goals and I think that’s what you will give us. So Saudi can wait. Give us two or three years at Chelsea or four years and then maybe Saudi can happen,” Mikel added.

Osimhen has been out with an injury that has kept him out of action for the past two weeks and will miss the Super Eagle’s upcoming games during the International break…CONTINUE READING>>
