This sad incident was officially announced by the Kebbi State Government.
The news of his demise, following a prolonged illness, was conveyed to the public through a statement released by Ahmed Idris, the spokesman for the state Governor.
Bello, described as a dedicated public servant, breathed his last early in the morning at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) in Sokoto.
The spokesman’s statement expressed the somber news, stating, “Regrettably, with a heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama Local Government. He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness.”
