Zellweger is leaving the country after a four-year diplomatic posting.

President Ruto praised Zellweger’s efforts, adding that he had been instrumental in fostering strong relations between the two countries.

Ruto said thatKenya and Switzerland have the unique status of being host countries for United Nations agencies.

“Our two nations have strong ties which will be further boosted when discussions on sorting out double taxation are completed,” he said through X.

Ruto said Ruto saidsorting out double taxation will boost trade between the two countries.

The President further said the two nations were negotiating a carbon credit agreement, with Kenya having developed regulations to guide carbon trading.
