Having received the ball around 30 yards out following a neat flick from Fred, Ronaldo took one touch to control and one to set himself up before powering a ferocious long-range strike past Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
His traditional ‘Siuuu!’ celebration followed, as embraced by the Theatre of Dreams, as CR7 went on to produce a display to remember in the victory.
Coincidentally, the forward’s superb volley in the reverse fixture against Spurs was the runner-up in this season’s official poll, while Alex Telles’s precise effort versus Villarreal finished third.
It caps off an impressive return campaign at Old Trafford for CR7, who scored 24 times in total and and was voted Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for 2011/22 by the fans.
