After his contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated, Ronaldo is looking for a new team. However, the A-League president – Danny Townsend revealed this morning during an interview with Sydney Morning Herald that “the Portuguese captain has rejected their offer”.

Remember how Ronaldo and Man United split up last month after his controversial conversation with British broadcaster Piers Morgan? Ronaldo has been heavily linked to a lucrative move to the Middle East, with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr reportedly putting out an offer worth £173 million each season.

However, following Portugal’s 6-1 World Cup victory against Switzerland on Tuesday night, the former Real Madrid player denied the rumors. Ronaldo claimed that Al Nassr allegedly offered a two-and-a-half-year agreement that would last until the summer of 2025.
