Abraham struck in the semifinal victory over Leicester City.
“Till today, I still watch the video of my header. I knew what to expect from a team like Leicester, but not many of my teammates knew,” he told Sky Italia.
“I’ve always wanted to beat Leicester. They beat me in the FA Cup Final, I wanted payback and that was it. I wanted to be the one to score to help my team, it’s always nice to win. Hopefully, we’ll win the Final, so I can look back on my goals and keep watching the replays.
“A Final is a Final. It could be World Cup Final, Champions League Final, or Conference League Final. When you get there, you want to win. We all want to win. We’ve had an amazing year, now we have two more finals to go. We have Torino to play and the Conference League Final. Everyone is excited, I am excited.”
Abraham joined Roma from Chelsea in a €40m deal last summer and he continued: “Credit to my teammates, the staff, fans, and everybody. It’s never easy to come to a different country, a different league.
“They’ve made me feel like this is my home from day 1. I fell in love from day 1 and told myself, I’ll give my heart sweat blood for this club. It’s been an amazing journey. This will be one of the best experiences of my life.”
