Napoli defeated Braga 2-1 away from home to get their European campaign off to a good start. They will now want to win two games in a row to improve their prospects of qualifying from the group.
The Italian champions’ strong record as hosts in the Champions League will give them confidence. Napoli hasn’t lost a home match in this competition since 2017 and has won nine of the last 13 games.
Real Madrid is also coming off a strong league victory in Spain. On Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti’s men defeated Girona 3-0 in a top-of-the-table encounter.
The victory allowed them to reclaim first place in the standings. Los Blancos have won their last two games without conceding a goal.
This is a wonderful comeback to their 3-1 thrashing at the hands of city rivals Atletico Madrid a week ago. Madrid looked shaky in their group opener against Union Berlin but managed a 1-0 win at home. The visitors will be hopeful of another victory on Tuesday after winning both encounters with Napoli.
